Welcome to Bay of Plenty Community Homes Trust Backgound In 1984, Sunrise Trust and Avenues Home Trust were established to provide supported accommodation to people with experience of mental illness.  A group of dedicated family members, recognizing that there was a lack of residential accommodation, worked hard with fundraising efforts to purchase the properties for which to provide these services. The Ministry of Health contracted Sunrise trust to provide accommodation for 8 people and Avenues Home Trust accommodation for 6 people on separate contracts.
